yes it is....unless i am competing.
i often get a lot of abuse for wearing a kilt. am i scottish...no, its a skirt..no, whats under it?....duh
the tartan is the leatherneck/official marine corps tartan. the marine corps is my clan. its where i grew up and learned a lot. it wasnt perfect and neither was i. but there is something about saying "i am a marine" that makes anyone puff out their chest.
why wear it? well....it represents the past and all that have gone before me. the present because it has helped me be who i am. i wear it out of respect for my fellow marines and to honor them.
